What is OneContact?
Basics
OneContact is a smarter way to manage your contacts. You connect once, and when someone updates their info (phone, email, address, name), it updates automatically for the people they’ve chosen to share it with.
No more outdated numbers. No awkward “is this still your email?” texts. Just always-up-to-date contact info—without the hassle.
How do I download OneContact?

You can download OneContact from the App Store or Google Play. Use the link below to get the correct version for your device:

How to add your social media handle so people can find you
Basics
To link your social media accounts in OneContact, you’ll need to enter the username or handle you use on each platform (not the full URL).
Your handle is the unique name people use to find you, usually shown with an @.
If you’re not sure where to find it, use the official resources below. These pages are maintained by each platform, so they’ll stay accurate even if layouts change.
Note: Some of the resources below explain how to change your username. You do not need to change anything — these pages also show you where to find your current username or handle, which is all you need for OneContact.

What kind of info can I share?
Basics
Whatever you choose: phone number, email, address, birthday, profile photo, and more.
What happens when I update my info?
Basics
Your changes instantly sync to the people you’re connected with—no texts, emails, or reminders needed.
What are Personal Notes?
Basics
Personal Notes let you add private reminders to fully connected contacts. These notes are only visible to you—your connection will never see them. You can use Personal Notes to remember details like relationships, context, or helpful reminders (for example, “Jim’s sister” or “Rec League Softball Coach”).
Can other people see my Personal Notes?
Basics
No. Personal Notes are for your reference only and are never shared. Since OneContact is designed for contacts to keep their own information up to date, Personal Notes help you remember details about that person when you need a reminder.
Where can I find updates or announcements about OneContact?
Basics
We share feature updates, improvements, and important announcements through the app and on our official social media channels. You can find all of our social links here:

What do the colored circles around my contacts mean?
Basics
Each contact has a colored ring that shows the status of your connection:
A glowing circle indicates the card you’re currently sharing with that contact
A gray circle means you’re not connected
This makes it easy to see who you’re connected with and what you’re sharing at a glance.
Why does a connection say “Reconnect”?
Basics
This means the connection was removed by you or the other person. You can send a new request by tapping Reconnect.
Why didn’t I get a connection request notification?
Basics
Check your device settings to make sure notifications are enabled for OneContact. If notifications are off, connection requests may still appear in the app but won’t trigger an alert.

Why do I see duplicate contacts on my phone?

Why am I not getting verification emails?
Basics
Check spam folders and confirm your email is correct.
I deleted the app and reinstalled it—why did things change?

I can’t find someone in OneSearch—why?
Basics
You can search by username, first name, last name, email, or phone number. If none of those return results, they may have blocked you.
Why does OneContact ask for certain permissions?
Basics
OneContact only requests permissions that support specific features:

Skeptical & Real-World Questions
It can—but more importantly, it replaces outdated ones.
What makes this different from iCloud or Google Contacts?

Why wouldn’t I just text people my new number?
Skeptical & Real-World Questions
Because people forget, miss messages, or save it wrong. OneContact removes the human error.

Privacy & Security
OneContact uses mutual connections so updates are shared intentionally and privately. Both people must agree to connect, which ensures control, prevents unwanted sharing, and keeps information accurate.
What happens when I block someone?
Privacy & Security
Blocking prevents a user from connecting or reconnecting with you. If you’re currently connected, you must disconnect first. Disconnecting removes shared contact details, and blocking stops future connection requests.
How do I block a user?
Privacy & Security
You can block a user in two ways:
From OneSearch — Find the user in OneSearch and block them directly.
From an existing connection — Open the contact, disconnect, then block the user from there.
Disconnecting removes shared contact details from both users’ devices. Blocking prevents the user from sending new connection requests or reconnecting.
